On Monday 17th Jan the circus came to LCPS. The big top was set up on the field and the whole school enjoyed a spectacular show by the sensible brothers. This included plate spinning, balloon tricks, juggling with knifes and lots of other fun acts.
The children in KS1 then spent the day trying out different circus skills with the help of the Sensible Brothers. They learnt about where the acts came from and how to do them. These included feather balancing, Chinese ribbons, diablos, poi from new Zealand plate spinning, juggling  and flower sticks.
At the end of the day KS1 returned to the big top to share their skills and watch the teachers have a hoola hoop completion.
A great day was had by all with lots of fun laughter and learning, igniting our enthusiasm for our half term topic of the circus.
